43 monkeys escaped from a research laboratory

More than a week after their escape from a research laboratory in South Carolina, 8 of the 43 monkeys on the run were still being actively sought.

This incident took place the day after the presidential elections, adding a special dimension to the event.

Police warned people not to approach the monkeys under any circumstances.

35 of the 43 monkeys that escaped from the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in South Carolina have been quickly captured.

After capture, the monkeys were all examined by a team of vets, who pronounced them healthy, before they were given a snack of Froot Loops.

Remember that the monkeys, rhesus macaques, escaped when an employee at the Alpha Genesis center allegedly failed to properly close a door after feeding them, according to authorities.

The Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center, located in Yemassee, South Carolina, is a facility dedicated to the study of primates.
