The NFL playoffs are here, with the long-awaited wild card duels taking place this weekend. Here are the 12 teams that will be in action!
Los Angeles Chargers
Led by Justin Herbert, the Chargers visit the Houston Texans in their playoff opener on Saturday at 4:30pm. Thanks to a respectable regular season, the California troupe has compiled a record of 11 wins and 6 losses this season.
Houston Texans
Having finished fourth in the AFC with a record of 10 wins and 7 losses, the Texans of C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins and Joe Mixon will host the Chargers on Saturday afternoon to begin the 2025 playoffs.
Pittsburgh Steelers
To conclude Saturday’s NFL action, Russell Wilson and his gang (10-7) will be in Baltimore to take on the Ravens at 8pm. Their defense will have its work cut out for it, having performed so well in the regular season.
Baltimore Ravens
With Lamar Jackson finishing with 41 touchdown passes, good for second in the league, the Ravens will be looking to wreak havoc. Let’s not forget Derrick Henry, who has greatly helped his team’s positive 12-5 record on the season.
Denver Broncos
Bo Nix and his Broncos (10-7) will travel to Buffalo for Sunday afternoon’s 1:00 p.m. game against the Bills. Note that Denver finished the season ranked first in the NFL for quarterback sacks, with 63.
Buffalo Bills
Many will line up behind Josh Allen and the BIlls, who have home-field advantage due to their 13-4 record. Buffalo’s defensive unit will be under the microscope for the occasion.
Green Bay Packers
At 4:30 p.m. Sunday, the Packers (11-6) will want to surprise the Eagles in front of their home fans, with Josh Jacobs and Jordan Love in their lineup.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia, with 14 wins in 17 outings, was one of the NFL’s best teams in 2024, thanks in particular to the excellent Saquon Barkley. Jalen Hurts, the number-one quarterback, also had his say, even if he wasn’t at the top of his game this season. Green Bay will be the visitors on Pennsylvania soil on Sunday.
Washington Commanders
With Jayden Daniels, the young puppeteer of Washington’s attack, the Commanders have accumulated a 12-5 record in 2024 and will try to get the better of Tampa Bay on Sunday at 8:00 p.m.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Surprisingly, the Buccaneers will start the playoffs at home against Washington, despite a decent 10-7 record, winning their division title in the process. Baker Mayfield and his 41 touchdown passes were very useful in their success, let’s face it.
MInnesota Vikings
Only one game is scheduled for next Monday, at 8:00 p.m., when Sam Darnold’s Vikings (14-3) take on the Los Angeles Rams. The game, originally scheduled for the Rams’ stadium, will be moved to Arizona due to the terrible fires in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams clinched their conference title, despite a regular season with just 10 wins in 2024. Veteran Matthew Stafford, with many years of NFL experience under his belt, is likely to have headaches against Minnesota’s formidable defense.
