Elon Musk made headlines by joining former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump survived an assassination attempt. This event was immediately followed by the announcement of Elon Musk’s support.

Musk arrived at the rally wearing a black MAGA cap. He strangely jumped on stage several times before addressing the crowd and referring to himself as “Dark MAGA”.

Elon Musk’s enthusiastic attitude, which included jumping near the podium to galvanize supporters for the 2024 presidential elections, was described as “bizarre” online.

Numerous comments on the subject quickly went viral, including on his own social network X (formerly Twitter).

This is the first time Musk has appeared in public alongside Trump since the billionaire voiced his support at an event hosted by Trump, cementing their political alliance. Musk even affirmed his full allegiance by declaring himself “Dark MAGA”.

The expression “Dark MAGA” is also used by far-right groups to refer to Trump supporters who wish to see Trump as an authoritarian leader capable of heroically restoring America by any means necessary.

Memes depicting Trump as the Terminator, Rambo or savior Jesus, as well as portraits depicting him in heroic fashion, mainly come from this movement.

Indeed, Musk emphasized this in his speech, stating that the true test of Trump’s character lies in his behavior under pressure, particularly after his assassination attempt, and his bravery. Musk, who is spreading more misinformation online than ever before, claims that Trump is the only one capable of fighting back against the Democrats who seek to suppress their freedoms of speech, their right to bear arms and their right to vote. In an alarming tone, he argues that the only person capable of saving future elections is Trump.
