Elon Musk recently posted several messages on X linking the fires to various theories.
Cybertrucks and Starlink systems

Billionaire Elon Musk announced on X the deployment of Cybertrucks and Starlink systems in the Los Angeles area, not without first stirring controversy on the platform with a series of statements regarding the fires in California.
Los Angeles and Malibu

Musk stated he wants to position Cybertrucks equipped with Starlink and offering free Wi-Fi in the most affected areas, particularly around Los Angeles and Malibu.
Elon's theories

Musk made this announcement on his social network just days after sharing critiques and theories regarding the fires that ravaged entire neighborhoods near Los Angeles, including the Palisades Fire.
A private briefing?

Elon Musk reportedly attended a private briefing on the Palisades Fire at the incident command center before making his announcement.
The rant

He streamed this exchange, which was more like one of his way to common rants, live on X.
DEI (again)

Musk points to the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiative of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which he considers partially responsible for the spread of the fires. A rhetoric echoed by all the major figures in the MAGA universe at this time, so nothing particularly original.
LAFD

In one of these messages, he stated: “DEI means people are DYING (DIE),” while retweeting a post criticizing the leader of the LAFD. Truly, a wordplay only a genius could have come up with.
The first woman

The Los Angeles Fire Department is led by Kristin Crowley, the first woman and first LGBTQ chief to hold this position.
22 years of experience

With over 22 years of experience within the organization, where she has held various roles including firefighter, paramedic, fire inspector, captain, and deputy chief, she has an impressive background.
A smear campaign

However, she is currently the target of a smear campaign led by right-wing figures and media, including Elon Musk, who accuse her of having been recruited solely based on DEI initiative criteria.
Help, but...

In his announcement, Elon Musk said he has requisitioned eight Cybertrucks, some intended for customers who were waiting for their delivery “in the coming days,” to send them to the Los Angeles area. Help accompanied by criticism, of course, while several Republicans believe that the money sent to California amid the fires should be granted… with conditions.
