Elton John reveals he has lost his sight

Elton John says a serious eye infection he had several months ago has left him almost completely blind.

Sadly, he lost the sight in his right eye in July following an infection he had while in the south of France.

He has been unable to see for five months now.

Elton John also points out that his left eye is not in good condition, which has left him almost completely blind.

He adds that this prevents him from working, and that he now only takes part in limited events.

At a recent event in London, on the sidelines of the world premiere of the musical The Devil Wears Prada, Elton John took to the stage.

He then shared details about his new condition.

He explained that, although he hadn’t been able to see the musical with his eyes, he had been able to hear it and that it was beautiful.

Last September, John had shared on Instagram that he was in a slow healing process.

He had also clarified that it would take time before sight returned to his affected eye.

However, several months later, he still hasn’t seen any improvement in his eyesight.
