The most anticipated series this spring is undoubtedly the third season of Euphoria. With the first episode having just premiered on Crave, we see the characters in a whole new light, as the story takes a significant leap forward in time by a few years.
The teenagers we met in the first two seasons are now taking their first steps into adulthood, with all the challenges that entails. It’s a transformation we’ll explore even further as the series unfolds.
From the very first viewing, one thing is clear: some characters have undergone significant transformations. That’s exactly what we’ll be analyzing here.
Find out what has become of the standout characters, in light of the first episode now available.
Nate Jacobs
One of the most popular male characters in the series is Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi.
Considered the “bad guy” since the beginning of Euphoria, Nate Jacobs now seems to be evolving into a more responsible version of himself. Once manipulative in love, a troublemaker, and plagued by alcohol, he now shows a noticeable change starting in the first episode of the new season. He embarks on an ambitious project: building a retirement complex, using his fortune to create a more stable professional future.
Engaged to Cassie, their marriage is on the horizon. Faced with his fiancée’s darker turn, Nate appears in a new light, even eliciting a form of unexpected empathy.
However, one suspects that we shouldn’t expect him to stay calm and that his old temperament could very well resurface at any moment.
Cassie
Lexie
Lexi Howard, played by Maude Apatow, is a quiet and very mature teenager in her early years.
Unlike her sister Cassie, she prefers to stay in the background and observe the world around her rather than constantly seeking attention.
In this new season, Lexi Howard emerges as a much more assertive young woman. Through her work on a film set—even though her role is currently limited to simple tasks like bringing coffee and assisting with scenes—we see her gradually gaining confidence.
This experience seems to mark an important turning point in her development, hinting at a growing desire to make her mark and thrive in this environment. She still retains her maturity and doesn’t hesitate to lecture Rue.
Street
Rue Bennett, played by Zendaya, remains the central character in the plot of Euphoria. Since the series began, viewers have witnessed her ups and downs, which are largely tied to her struggles with addiction and self-destructive behaviors.
Among the various character arcs, hers is arguably the least obvious, as her struggles seem to persist over time.
Despite the passing years, Rue remains mired in difficult situations, often caused by her bad company and unstable environment.
However, at the end of the first episode of the new season, a glimmer of hope emerges: we see that she longs to change, to connect with spirituality, and to envision a different life, far from the drug trafficking that has long defined her daily existence. Stay tuned to see if she succeeds…
Maddy
Maddy Perez, played by Alexa Demie, is one of the most memorable and charismatic characters in the series.
Maddy is a confident, stylish young woman who is comfortable in her own skin and uses her appearance as an asset. Behind this strong and sometimes intimidating facade, however, lies a sensitive teenager who deeply craves love and recognition from others. Her tumultuous relationship with Nate Jacobs is central to her journey throughout the other two seasons.
This time, we discover that she’s working alongside major actors. While this world may seem glamorous and prestigious on camera, the reality behind the scenes is quite different. Behind the glittering facade, daily life turns out to be far more complex and demanding than it appears. In the trailer, we saw that she will return to Cassie’s life, but it remains to be seen whether it will be for revenge or out of friendship.
Jules Vaughn
In Season 1 of Euphoria, Jules stands out for her sensitivity, her unique style, and her search for identity. She comes across as both strong and vulnerable, navigating complex relationships and personal discoveries. Her bond with Rue becomes central, revealing her deep emotions and inner conflicts.
In 2026, in Season 3, Jules seems to have evolved. More composed, yet still intense, she bears the scars of her past. Her gaze is harder, her choices more assertive. She remains a striking character, constantly changing, still seeking to understand who she truly is. For now, in the first episode released, Jules is absent, so the rest of the series will reveal more about what the story has in store for her.
Faye
In Euphoria, Faye comes across as an unpredictable character who quickly finds herself entangled in dangerous situations linked to Rue’s world. From the very beginning, she is drawn into shady dealings, oscillating between a survival instinct and an apparent detachment. Behind her cold demeanor, a certain fragility shines through.
In 2026, in Season 3, Faye continues to navigate this risky world. More hardened, she now seems to be Rue’s ally, joining her on increasingly dangerous journeys, as if she’s chosen to be part of this chaos rather than escape it. A very quirky character who adds a unique touch to the story and is likely to have plenty more surprises in store for us.
