This time, director Jonathan Levine—best known for 50/50 and Long Shot—will take the helm of this new automotive adventure. According to several sources, the feature film is even set to become Tom Cruise's next project, a testament to the studio's commitment to this highly anticipated return.

Although Tom Cruise has been officially confirmed to reprise his role as Cole Trickle, Nicole Kidman's return remains a mystery.
