Sheryl Crow sells her Tesla and donates the money to NPR

The singer Sheryl Crow recently gave up her Tesla in protest against its CEO, Elon Musk.

She shared a video where she waves goodbye to her vehicle, loaded onto a tow truck.

In the caption, Sheryl Crow quoted her parents: «My parents always said… you are who you hang out with.»

She added: «There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long, Tesla».

Crow specified that she was donating money to NPR, an organization she considers threatened by Musk.

She hopes “that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth.”

Elon Musk, who became president of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Trump, is criticized for his growing influence.

Some have even nicknamed him “President Musk” due to what they perceive as an abuse of power.

A committee of the House of Representatives, related to the DOGE, has demanded that NPR and PBS testify at the Capitol.

The investigation focuses on the use of public funding and the dissemination of information deemed “biased” by the Trump administration.

Crow’s act of protest is part of a larger wave of opposition to Musk’s increasing influence in politics.
