Trump boasts that countries are «kissing his ass» in a bizarre 90-minute speech

A few hours before the introduction of new tariffs that affect almost all countries in the world, with the exception of Russia and North Korea, Donald Trump gave a 90-minute speech in front of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

While he claimed that several countries were calling him to «kiss his ass», although the main allies and trading partners of the United States responded with the imposition of major retaliatory measures also in the form of tariffs.

During his long speech at the traditional fundraising dinner in Washington D.C., Donald Trump repeated triumphal declarations and stated: «I know what the hell I’m doing», before congratulating himself on the «most successful 100 days in the history of this country».

Trump also repeated his strange statements about the character Hannibal Lecter from the movie The Silence of the Lambs. While referring to the famous fictional killer, he explained that the world wonders why he is talking about him, even though he is a fictional character, before adding: «He’s not», and even claiming that «many of them» crossed the border.

Trump has also mocked countries that he claims call him to ask him to make a deal, even begging and saying things like: «I’ll do anything, Sir».

Nevertheless, the main trading partners and allies of the United States are openly contradicting Donald Trump’s statements by threatening their own retaliatory measures and showing no sign of wanting to capitulate to his pressure.

Canada was the first country to react to the trade war triggered by Donald Trump, by imposing retaliatory measures and stating: «Canada will continue to stand firm against all unjustified and unreasonable tariffs imposed by the United States on Canadian products.»

After the introduction of 104% tariffs by the Trump administration on Chinese products, Beijing has responded with counter-tariffs of 84% and announced to «fight to the end».

In a move of unity, the members of the European Union have reacted by taking a series of measures to condemn American tariffs that they consider unjustified and harmful, and declared: «The European Union considers the American tariffs to be unjustified and harmful, causing economic damage to both parties as well as to the world economy.»
